Sad Sad News

With tremendous sadness and many buckets of tears, Eek passed on January 20, 1014. Though behaving normally the day before, that morning she was lethargic and did not want to arise from her nest wad. When she did finally get up, she acted woozy or dizzy, as if she could not keep her balance. We spent the day at the emergency vet, who found other disconcerting symptoms pointing to a serious GI infection. Eek spent her final hours snuggled deep inside my sweatshirt, and died late that evening. There are so many things about her that are very missed. What a sweet amazing adventure she has been.

Thanks for the stories & info!
Rats as pets are endearing creatures; I've had a few I'll forever miss. Sad they are so short lived when loved and cherished. *sad*
